It’s still summer in Montreal, despite what the thermometer is saying

So, as you can see I’ve been busy enjoying summer in Montreal and I’ve sort of neglected this blog.

I can’t promise that I’ll be back here on a regular basis because I like to keep this fun and spontaneous. For now, here are some photos of summer events and happenings that I took part in during the summer.

I had fun and it went by way too fast!

Here is a small playlist featuring the songs that got the most airplay on my iPod this summer

And here’s what I was up to:

Checking out awesome bands playing at Montreal’s numerous summer festivals, like Sierra Leone’s Refugee All stars at the Nuits d’Afrique festival and the Lemon Bucket Orkestra at the Jazz Festival

I did a TON of walking in Montreal and I hiked up a few mountains.

I had pink hair and I got a new tattoo! (pics coming soon)

I ate some great food, like this turkish recipe that I’m probably going to share in my book about my trip to Turkey that I’ve been writing ever so slowly (it should be done by next year, the winter months will force me to stay in so I can work on my writing).

and I just enjoyed the lovely festive atmosphere that takes over the city during the summertime, before we all head in to hibernate for the winter months:

Thanks for sticking with me!
