Just for fun, I rummaged through my travel pics and found these photos of elements of nature taken around the world (well, on 3 continents).
When we travel, we tend to mostly take pictures of architecture and famous landmarks. I do that a lot, but I also like to capture the natural environment of the place I’m in, whether it’s a city or the countryside.
Sometimes, depending on the local climate, the flora is similar to that of Montreal. Other times, it is different and exotic (to me). I’m also very bad at identifying types of plants and trees so if any of you can tell me what some of these are, I’d be really happy to learn!

Awesome set of picture. I especially appreciate those from Japan, as it is some place that the more I learn about, the more I am mystified by its culture and all we can set our eyes on. For me, your pictures express a part of that, and so thank you for sharing them. I hope you enjoyed your stay there and in all the other marvellous places in the world that you reveal here.
Thanks! Japan really captivated me and I think some days my head is still over there, even though I’ve been back here in Montreal since September. (Then again, some days my head is in France or Turkey too). It’s an incredible place to visit. The beautiful yet (at times) terrifying natural environment, along with the history and the strong and complex culture are so fascinating that I understand why some people get so obsessed by it!
